Since the cave paintings of Lascaux to Picasso's Guernica, the horse has come to symbolize many things in art. Today the horse remains as an embodiment of those great ideals. Historically horses are measured by hands and in this show my work is measured by the ability of my own 2HANDS. Whether we view these steeds from a distance or work alongside them each day it is easy to find that same quiet stillness they seem to encapsulate in our minds. She may be petite, but this gal has a big presence. Between her 'bargain store panties' hanging on a wash line on the stage and her talent as a musician and singer- with a great band- this is a performer worth seeing and a great night out. I couldnt help notice she had every man eating out of the palm of her hand by the end of the show! For information on shows at the Ironwood, go to www.ironwoodstage.ca.

Inglewood is the showcase community this year- Travel Alberta and Horizon Housing have come forward with teams of volunteers to work in the community. “Our team chose to join ‘Joe’s Clean Team’ on Earth Day to demonstrate how we intend to help our neighbours make Inglewood an even a better place to live, work and visit.” says Bruce Okabe, Chief .
